چکیده
Understanding the Spread of Malignant Conflict: A Dynamical Systems Perspective Naira Musallam, Peter T. Coleman, and Andrzej Nowak “The other day I was taking a walk across the shore of Jaffa [a Palestinian town prior to 1948] and I was looking at the houses that now have been converted into these galleries [...] They are very nice houses with traditional Arabic Architecture, but I got so upset just looking at them. For someone who did not grow up in the conflict, they are just houses. For me, it is not just a house, it is a house that used to belong to my relatives who, by the way, today live in a refugee camp in the Gaza Strip. I look at the house and it brings up all the history, the injustice, and the emotions. By that time, I can’t even stand seeing the face of any Israeli passing by me. It doesn’t matter who” (anonymous Palestinian, 2007).

A major constraint to the application of any form of knowledge and principles is the awareness, understanding and acceptance of the knowledge and principles. Systems Thinking (ST) is a way of understanding and thinking about the nature of health systems and how to make and implement decisions within health systems to maximize desired and minimize undesired effects. A major constraint to applyi...

متن کاملRethinking intractable conflict: the perspective of dynamical systems.
Intractable conflicts are demoralizing. Beyond destabilizing the families, communities, or international regions in which they occur, they tend to perpetuate the very conditions of misery and hate that contributed to them in the first place. Although the common factors and processes associated with intractable conflicts have been identified through research, they represent an embarrassment of r...
متن کاملDynamical Behavior of a Rigid Body with One Fixed Point (Gyroscope). Basic Concepts and Results. Open Problems: a Review
The study of the dynamic behavior of a rigid body with one fixed point (gyroscope) has a long history. A number of famous mathematicians and mechanical engineers have devoted enormous time and effort to clarify the role of dynamic effects on its movement (behavior) – stable, periodic, quasi-periodic or chaotic. The main objectives of this review are: 1) to outline the characteristic features of...
